The Quest for the Ice Fox

The Frozen Thames
Solutions & Tips
  • Work with others. Share your ideas online.
  • Work carefully. Remember to ignore the minus sign associated with the latitude when doing your calculations.
  • When you get to the offset destination take the time to learn about the area. Ask yourself: "What statues/buildings/features are here?", "Why is this place famous?".
  • When doing the cryptic clue think like a cryptic crossword solver. Think puns, double meanings, meanings within meanings.
  • Google Earth, Wikipedia and/or a good travel guide of London are your friends. You don't need all of them but at least one will be very handy.
  • Pay attention to the number of words expected in the cryptic answer.
  • Take the time to make sure you've eliminated duplicate words in the cipher key.
  • Keep track of your two digit final solution to each clue, and the clue that's associated with it. You'll need that info later.
